PRESS RELEASE: Cabinet Office and NIMS jointly awards 3DC up to JPY 800 Million ($5.7 Million) to scale manufacturing of its next-generation carbon material for batteries
Sendai, Miyagi, Sep. 6, 2024. 3DC, a Japanese manufacturer and supplier of Graphene Mesosponge® (GMS), an advanced carbon material for battery technology, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of two major strategic R&D grant programs, SIP and BRIDGE, managed and sponsored by Japan’s Cabinet Office, CSTI (Council for Science, Technology and Innovation), and NIMS (National Institution for Material Science). Over the course of the three-year program period, 3DC will receive up to JPY 800 Million ($5.7 Million) in funding. 3DC will use them to improve GMS’s quality, develop manufacturing processes for a mass production facility.
